Artist Sonya Rothwell weaves sensuous
entangled figures together with a kaleidoscope
of 'dancing lines,' abstracted painterly strokes and luminous colour. She strips her subjects bare, leaving behind only their essence.

Rothwell is interested in exploring movement, perspective, transformation, Spirit and human connection. She draws inspiration from her own life, people and things around her.

floods the paper,
pools and spreads –
with each line,
